Flowsopy Circles Vol.2

Creating Space in Your Life, Not Doing Too Much:
Finding Depth in Doing Less

We’ve thought that by doing more, we would achieve more.

But where did it take us? Where would less and conscise actions lead us?

 We’re embarking on

a 12-week journey where these questions will guide our path.

Are you coming?

When was the last time you hold a seashell up to your ear?

Some say that the sound we hear when hold a seashell to our ear is the sound of the sea, while others claim it’s the sound of the blood surguing in our veins.

Whatever it may be, it comes from the emptiness within.

Not every seashell have that opening and therefore that emptiness.
They cannot whisper to us of the ocean
's depths, nor of the depths within ourselves.

It is that space within that carries us into the depths  – whether it's into the depths of our own being, or to the ocean floor, what difference does it truly make?

This journey is the journey of becoming a seashell
- one that cradles emptiness within and echoes the sounds that find it in whispers, layer upon layer...

We thought that by doing more,
we would achieve more.

Think of a dream of yours
Think of a goal

That dream you’ve labeled as:
Small
Big
Impossible
Expensive
Insufficent
Distant
Near
Much
Little

Why does that dream exist?
Where does it come from?

If a dream isn’t meant to come true,
then what is it for?

Yes, exactly that one!
The dream that flickers within you as you read these lines, either shouting loudly in your mind or silently trying to sneak away, perhaps even giving you butterflies or maybe even cramps.

That dream that you feel you have to do so much for.

But there’s also this side to it...

What if you don't know what you want or can't find it?

Those who draw a blank when I say “Go ahead, dream,” or those who are afraid to dream, or those who get anxious at the thought of finding it.

I see you.
And I accept you just as you are and invite you somewhere.

This is a collective place where less and concise creation happens.
This is a place where you look at yourself in the mirror.

This is a place where you don’t lull yourself to sleep with busyness.

We thought that by creating more busyness for ourselves, we would achieve more.

Or could all this “doing more” just
have been busyness numbing our
true essence?

So why did things happen when we stopped striving and finally surrendered?

But more of what, exactly?

  • If I read more, will I actually learn more and know more?

  • If I work more, will I really earn more money?

  • If I take on more tasks, will I truly be more successful?

  • If I see more places, will I really be more fulfilled?

  • If I talk more, will I truly be more seen?

...

Did that really turn out to be the case?

Surrendering is playing and dancing with creation, dear playmate!

So How and Why?

Envision a journey toward your aspirations that doesn’t demand you to possess any more knowledge than you already have.

On the contrary, a journey where we lighten our load as we realize that what we’ve learned is excess and let go of it.

There's only one thing that separating your current self from the self that has achieved your dreams and that's what you're currently holding onto:

  • what you know,

  • what you’ve learned,

  • what you were taught,

  • your beliefs,

  • your fears,

  • all the emotions and experiences that you didn't even know were accumulating in your body.

We are not here to “solve” anything or to “achieve” and “accomplish” anything.

We’re here to experience, to surrender, and to create.

Inside the Seashell

If you are wondering how this all comes together, let me explain.
It’s actually very simple and that’s where its power lies.

001  Online group coaching sessions

002 Private community on Slack

003 Weekly focus points

004  “Thought Literacy” awareness practices

005   Monthly embodiment practices

001  Online group coaching sessions

The group coaching sessions are our times to stir our water and let our inner answers come to us.
This is where we will scratch the surface, question our perceptions, face with our valleys and start conversing with our depths.

Following journaling prompts and exercised designed to strengthen inner vision, we will hold group coaching sessions with our small group, where each one of us reflects a version of the others.

While our primary focus in these sessions will be coaching, the purpose of and the method used in them will customized according to the group’s needs and the flow of the experience.

As those who have joined our previous monthly group coaching sessions have experienced, each gathering serves as a collective step on our inner journeys.

These bi-weekly sessions will both contribute to the emergence of inner answers and ensure that individuals take intentional steps towards their desired path at their own rhythm.

**I intent to record the sessions so that those who cannot attend can watch them later, or so that,

if you’re like me, you can have the opportunity to revisit your insights. However, this will depend on the approval of everyone in our group. I will only record if everyone comfortably gives their consent.

002 Private community on Slack

Our Slack group will reinforce both the spirit of our community and our sense of accountability in taking steps forward towards our visions.

This is where the simmering happens.

This private and intimate space is the space for ongoing support, celebrations, questions and realizations in between our group coaching sessions.

As things that I know will support our community flow to me (you’ll encounter this term a lot in my world), I will be making spontaneous and intuitive shares, invitations and questions within our group.

After all, this is an experience we are creating together, deepening as we go.

003 Weekly focus points

The time between our group coaching sessions are the time for simmering: taking action and implementing the insights gained during the sessions.

I will support our community by posting weekly focus points, reflections from our sessions and questions in our Slack group.

As someone who operates quite intuitively, if you’re new to my world, I must say that over-planning can limit the wisdom and potential we carry within us.

Therefore, the shares, invitations and supportive questions I’ll be posting in our group will born from the moment and flow of our experience together.

And if you’re someone who tries to keep

everything under control by planning, great

—that gives us even more reason to come together.

After all, understanding and embodying our inner wisdom begins with surrender and

the art of letting go.

“Thought Literacy” awareness practices

In other words, nowadays’ buzz word “mindfulness”.

What is the inside of our minds like?
What kinds of thoughts and emotions frequently visit it?

We will be exploring these together.

When we begin to understand and observe the mind and its contents from a non-judgmental place, we also begin to realize why we are living in our current reality.

This understanding paves the way for our envisioned and dreamed reality.

In this system where
thoughts create emotions,
emotions create beliefs,
beliefs create behaviors,
behaviors create experiences, and
 experiences shape our lives,
becoming aware of our thoughts and emotions will allow us to draw back the curtain on our own reality.

005  Monthly embodiment practices

We will be holding monthly practices where we will return to our breath and reconnect with our senses and bodies.

These practices, which will be in the form of video or audio recordings or short online gatherings, will enhance body and breath awareness, calibrating us to our own resources and wisdom within.

Our breath, our greatest tool in bringing us to this moment, will accompany us abundantly on this journey. It is the only tangible thing- we have that exists fully in the present, away from the past and the future.

It will be our anchor and companion on this journey, bringing us to this very moment.

What is coaching?

I know this is a title with so many different definitions most of which intertwined with consulting or mentoring.
But in my world, coaching means something else.

For me, coaching means holding up a mirror.

Crafting a safe space where the person can truly listen to themselves through their own words and in that space, reflecting back the nuances of their words and their core self.

My questions are my strongest companions in this sense.
They both sharpen my childlike curiosity
(because only in this way I can distance myself from my own judgements, biases and perspectives and come closer to seeing the other person as who they are) and deepen the other person’s inner journey.

There is something a little beyond just holding up a mirror,
and that’s taking action.

After seeing yourself in the mirror of your own words, truths and feelings,

what remains is to embody and put into action what you’ve seen on the mirror.

At that point, as your companion, I invite you to find the actions and ways of being that will gently challenge you.

That
's it in short.

But coaching is not something that can be understood without experiencing it. So instead of trying to understand it, I invite you to connect.

If you are saying, “Okaaay,

you’ve said a lot, give me

a summary of what’s

going on here”...

We’re going on an 12-week journey together -- you, me and 5 different reflections of ourselves.

The intention and direction of the journey is to experience being, instead of doing, by creating space in our lives and engaging in fewer, more essential actions.

It is about embodying our goals, being our inner potential and simply being.

On this journey, we’ll experience:

  • Acceptance

  • Surrendering

  • Letting go

  • Finding the source and the answer within

  • Meeting the answer rather than searching for itReturning to our essence

  • Confronting and embracing the self

  • Remember to pause and receive from life

  • Finding joy and having fun with ourselves and creations

  • Walking with a supportive intimate circle of people who create space for and embrace one another

  • and much more...

Are you coming?

So, what exactly are Flowsophy Circles?

It all actually stemmed from the word “philosophy”.

I could only describe my way of reaching people and co-creating with their depths, my reason for doing what I do, as philosophy coaching.

Since realizing that everyone has their own unique philosophy and creates their life with it, I’ve started weaving everything around the core of understanding and embodying our individual philosophies.

This is where Flowsophy Circles came from.

The word “philosophy” literally means love of wisdom.

The human endeavor to understand and know oneself and the world.

There’s likely no other way in this endless endeavor than to be a lover of it, so that we constantly pursue it. Because it is a journey without end.

True wisdom comes from understanding ourselves and true alignment happens when we embody what we understand.

In this space where each of us reflects a version of one another, we will hold up mirrors to ourselvesand our individual philosophies.
Through the reflections we see in these mirrors,
we will take steps and engage in creations that will illuminate our potential.

So, how does it work?

Flowsophy Circles runs in volumes.

The second volume (or season, or cohort, or whatever you want to call this) is this journey you’ve been reading about so far: Creating Space in Your Life, Not Doing Too Much:  Finding Depth in Doing Less

We have already started the very first volume in Turkish with the same topic.

I’ll be keep opening up new volumes both in Turkish and English.

The duration of each volume will also vary depending on the theme and the group.

This is an intimate and transformative journey with a small intimate group of 6 people, lasting between 3 to 6 months.

The topic of each volume is shaped by the needs I observe in the people around me,

my clients, my community, and the environments I’m a part of, as well as the needs of the time. This is what allows this space to be an intuitive creation space.

Welcome!
It’s so wonderful to have you here!

That's it!
The process is simple and that's where its power comes from.

“We are just there to facilitate a gathering.”

says Chris Martin, musician and the lead singer of Coldplay, talking about their concerts

So am I.

I’m facilitating the gathering but the experience will be created by all of us.

Come and experience a taste of it on the free opening call!
